Dr. Azura Mansor, 51, is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon in the field of Orthopaedic Oncology. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery (MS Orth) from the University of Malaya. She has further credentials in the field, including certification as a Medical Assessor (CMIA) from NIOSH and specialized subspecialty training in orthopaedic oncology at the renowned Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Bologna, Italy.
Additionally, Dr. Azura holds a Diploma in Tissue Banking with distinction from the National University of Singapore, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in field of Human Bone and Tissue Banking. She is a fellow member of both the Orthopaedic Oncology Rizzoli in Bologna, Italy, and the Clinical & Research department of the National University of Singapore.
Currently, she serves as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Malaya, where she also holds the position of Deputy Director of Clinical Services (Surgical and Critical Care) and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her leadership extends to her role as the Director of the Human Bone Bank at UMMC, highlighting her expertise in tissue banking, on top of the administrative and management duty of University Malaya Medical Centre, the oldest and biggest university hospital in Malaysia.
Her research interest includes the field of clinical Orthopaedic Oncology, human bone & tissue banking, and tissue engineering.
The teams actively published clinical and basic science research papers in both local and international journals.
She does not have any family relationship with any other Directors and/or major shareholders of S P Setia Berhad (Founder). She does not have any conflict of interest with the Trust. She has not been convicted of any offences over the past five years and there was no public sanction or penalty imposed on her by the relevant regulatory bodies during the financial year.
