(Photo by S P Setia)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>959.72 acres of land in Tebrau, Johor disposed of for RM547.65m cash<\/li>\n<li>Datuk Choong Kai Wai, president &amp; CEO of S P Setia: The sale of this land is in line with the group\u2019s direction to optimise and rebalance its land bank whilst maintaining an efficient capital structure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>SETIA ALAM (July 5): S P Setia Bhd announced today of its disposal of freehold land measuring approximately 959.72 acres to Scientex Lestari Sdn Bhd for a cash consideration of RM547.65 million. The sale was executed through S P Setia&#8217;s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Pelangi Sdn Bhd, following a conditional sale and purchase agreement signed on the same day.<\/p>\n<p>According to a media release by S P Setia today, the land located in Mukim of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgeprop.my\/buy\/johor\/all-residential?keyword=Tebrau&amp;page=1&amp;searchedLabel=All%20in%20%22Tebrau%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tebrau<\/a>\u00a0District of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgeprop.my\/buy\/johor\/johor-bahru\/all-residential?page=1&amp;searchedLabel=Johor%20Bahru\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Johor Bahru<\/a>\u00a0\u201chold strong value due to their prime location along the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgeprop.my\/buy\/johor\/senai\/all-residential?page=1&amp;searchedLabel=Senai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Senai<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgeprop.my\/buy\/johor\/all-residential?keyword=Desaru&amp;page=1&amp;searchedLabel=All%20in%20%22Desaru%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Desaru<\/a>\u00a0Expressway (SDE)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Positioned approximately 18 km east of the Senai International Airport and 28 km north of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edgeprop.my\/buy\/johor\/johor-bahru\/all-residential?page=1&amp;searchedLabel=Johor%20Bahru\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Johor Bahru<\/a>\u00a0city centre, \u201cthe lands provide easy access to major transportation routes\u201d.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From left: Datuk Alex Khaw Giet Thye, chief operating officer \u2013 property of Scientex Bhd; Lim Peng Jin, managing director\/chief executive officer of Scientex Bhd; Choong; and Datuk Zaini Yusoff, chief operating officer of S P Setia at the signing ceremony today.
